Adecco Direct Hire is currently recruiting for the job of Purchased Parts Planning Manager. In this role you will play a key role in developing, implementing and leading best practice methods for effective and cost conscious management of purchased materials planning. You will be responsible for all inbound material supply and inventory management of the same in support of multiple manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for developing and leading a team of purchased parts planning staff in each manufacturing location. This job will focus heavily on effective planning throughout an internal company supplier and its external supplier network. The successful candidate will ensure appropriate use of system tools and continuously drive accuracy and sustainability in planning data.
You will be responsible for:
*Accountable for leading the purchased part planning functions in each facility driving best in class procurement and inventory management strategies.
*Continually develop methods for KPI improvement (Stock Turns, Premium Freight, Supplier DSA, Customer DSA, Customer Past Due, Supplier Due)
*Promote and role-model the company's values.
*Work with user community and IT to develop and refine system tools to support efficient and robust procurement processes.
*Ensure all procedures are documented and routinely reviewed for accuracy
*Lead processes to monitor and provide staff training at a level commensurate with each job function.
*Work with the Purchasing function to monitor problem suppliers and develop improved processes for managing current issues and mitigating future risk
*Lead departmental development, ensuring the department is staffed with innovative, high-performing team members with a focus on continuous improvement.
*Lead efforts related to the intern/co-op program developing new talent to bring into the organization.
*Administer and work with plant leaders in developing and driving improvements related to Purchased Parts Planning and Inventory Management.
*Partnering with multiple site leadership teams on continuous improvements plans to drive business results, customer service, and alignment with Company Values.
Routine Responsibilities
*Responsible for accurate and effective management of the internal supply chain network across multiple interconnected plants.
*Responsible for execution of material requirement plans, adhering to policies on Past Dues, planning and inventory.
*Responsible for all purchase order placement and management of purchase orders - expediting/defer cancellation of all purchases.
*Responsible for the on-going maintenance of all supplier schedules and discrete purchase orders in compliance with required updates to accurately maintain data on delivery, and to comply to required data for Metrics analysis
*Responsible to work with Master Scheduler and others to improve inventory carrying costs and days of coverage on-hand.
*Responsible to support Logistics in relation to Cycle Count queries, and timely resolution and corrective actions required.
You will have:
*7+ years of diverse Supply Chain / Procurement experience, including a proven ability to succeed in a matrix work structure.
*3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
*Proven ability to effectively communicate and influence leaders and front line employees in change management initiatives, and behavior change.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly establish effective working relationships and credibility with all levels of the internal organization and external client organizations
*Demonstrated balance between appropriate levels of customer service and running a lean, cost-efficient organization.
*Excellent organizational, project management, problem solving and decision-making skills and a high degree of sound judgment and common sense.
*Experienced with ERP/MRP planning systems (QAD Preferred). Fluent in use of Excel as an analytical tool. Experience with Inventory analysis tools preferred.
*Technology-savvy to leverage eProcurement and eSourcing tools
*Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment.
