Job DescriptionJob SummaryPerforms all department EEG procedures as well as assists management in technical accountability of services. Demonstrates competence in at least one additional area of Electroneurodiagnostics: Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies, Polysomnography, Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring, Long Term EEG Monitoring, and/or EMU.COMPANY DESCRIPTIONFrye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. Essential FunctionsPerforms routine and complex EEG procedures according to laboratory standards, including portable, cerebral death, and sleep-deprived, etc.Adheres to standards of practice for electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings.Able to identify and correct basic equipment problems when they occur.Performs EEG procedures using appropriate test strategy, montages, and filters, including the archive and transfer of records.Adopts method and instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on history, clinical observations, and findings.
