  • Travel Rate:--Available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/13.
    
  • Contract Length:--Accepting contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025, to support the unit through the holidays.
    
  • Hours:--36 hours available, with 12-hour night shifts.
    
  • Floating:--Required as needed to similar units.
    
  • Weekends:--4 weekend shifts per each 6-week schedule.
    
    
    Required Skills and Certifications
    
    
    
    
    • Experience:--Minimum of 1 year of experience required. Unit will accept first-time travelers.
      
    • Skills:--IV Start and Telemetry.
      
    • Certifications:--ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
      
      
      Patient Diagnoses
      
      Our unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including:
      
      
      
      
      • Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests
        
      • Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths
        
      • TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management
        
      • Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias
        
      • Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI Patients
        
        
        Special Procedures / Unit Details
        
        Our CPPU is a 24-bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit that houses cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. The average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days, with rapid patient turnover. An ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse is available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
        
        Scheduling
        
        
        
        
        • Any absences must be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day.
          
        • If a nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager's discretion per the 2020 policy.
          
        • Unit cannot promise a block schedule but will do their best to accommodate requests.
