    Required Experience and Skills
    
    
    
    
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience
      
    • Experience with arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management
      
    • Proficiency in IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and central line care/management
      
    • Experience with CVA, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy management
      
    • Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
      
      
      Patient Diagnoses
      
      Our unit handles a variety of cases including post-rapid response team patients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, GI bleeds, and post-operative care for GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, and ortho surgeries. We also manage pre/post OB with complications.
      
      Special Equipment and Procedures
      
      
      
      
      • Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup
        
      • Management of A-lines, BIPAP's, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
        
      • Administration of drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo
        
        
        Additional Information
        
        
        
        
        • Travel rate available for local travelers starting on or before 12/13
          
        • Hospital orientation required during the first week
          
        • EKG testing must be passed prior to start
