MedQuest is seeking a per diem / prn Outpatient MRI Technologist for a per diem / prn job in Asheville, North Carolina. Facility: Open MRI & Imaging of Asheville Position Type: PRN Work Schedule Details: The PRN will provide weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and PTO coverage. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for the integration of scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Collect pertinent data about the patient and the procedure Select the most appropriate, cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient's abilities and condition Screen the patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magnetic field Position and prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures Review the patient's chart and the physician's request to determine optimal scanning parameters for the suspected pathology Document diagnostic, treatment and patient data in the appropriate record. Archive images to data storage devices according to established guidelines Keep workflow in such a manner that it is an effective use of time, equipment and supplies Ensure that the required supplies and equipment are available Check all equipment routinely and perform preventive maintenance when necessary Maintain a safe environment by monitoring cryogens Ensure the Center's compliance with MedQuest Policy procedures, OSHA, local, state and Federal regulatory requirements: Participate in formal training and service programs Perform quality assurance activities based on established quality protocols Document quality assurance activities and results Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to medical records and other data Complete and retain certification in MRI technology Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards Skill in operation of MRI equipment Through direct ownership and joint ventures, the company operates a mixed network of independent and hospital-affiliated radiology centers that perform diagnostic tests used to help identify, diagnose, and monitor a range of health conditions.
