A company is looking for an Outpatient/Provider Coder Level 2.



Key Responsibilities

Review charges and report on documentation issues by contacting appropriate personnel
Abstract, code, and assign appropriate coding classifications for multiple/sub specialty services
Mentor and assist in training Level 1 Coders while providing feedback on coding-related issues


Required Qualifications

Nationally recognized coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) or 3 years of coding experience
Minimum of 2 years of coding, clinical, or billing experience required
Basic knowledge of clinical documentation requirements and health insurance processing
Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
