Civil Engineer Requisition Number: 2024-1350-42 S&ME is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As a Civil Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing and developing projects for Energy, Industrial, and Government clients. These projects range from natural gas pipelines and facilities, electrical distribution and transmission systems, renewables, landfills and associate facilities, mining facilities, earthen dams, water resources including stream restoration, and nuclear facility supporting infrastructure. Your Day-to-Day: - Project Assistance: Assist senior engineers and project managers with planning, organizing, and executing projects.
- Schedule and Budget Management: Help with developing project schedules, timelines, and budget tracking.
- Design and Modeling: Use software tools like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Revit to produce design drawings and models.
- Site Visits and Data Collection: Participate in site visits and environmental surveys to gather data for design or construction purposes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist with ensuring that designs and plans meet local, state, and federal regulations.
What You Bring: - A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering design projects
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, or able to obtain within six months
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous exposure to AutoCAD, Civil3D, stormwater and utility modeling programs, a plus
