Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN preferred Must-Have: - 1 year of CVICU experience after orientation completion - Strong critical thinking skills Job Description: - Join a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a facility with a range of specialty centers, including brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, general and vascular surgery, surgical weight loss, and women's health. - Work in a modern facility with a 32-bed emergency department, a 29-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, a 15-bed surgical suite, and imaging capabilities. - Engage with an adult/geriatric population in an 8-bed CVICU, maintaining a patient ratio of 2:1 with occasional 1:1 situations. - Utilize advanced medical equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT, documented in Cerner EHR. - Handle common diagnoses and treatments including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures. - Follow a professional dress code in any color scrubs. - Engage in every other weekend shifts or adapt to meet facility needs, with no on-call requirements. - Be prepared for scheduled rotation float requirements and twice-monthly orientation.
