What We Need YOU To DO: The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as a laboratory scientist with the Division of Environmental Services (DES) at our Reynoldsburg laboratory. Know the difference between a Bunsen, a burette, and a beaker? Then this is for you! - Our Division of Environmental Services analyzes water, air, sediment, and tissue samples and provides technical assistance, laboratory inspections, and lab certification throughout the state of Ohio.
- As a laboratory scientist you'll assist the lab's sample coordinator in receiving, processing and distributing samples, as well as preparing and performing basic laboratory tests.
- We'll count on your attention to detail to maintain sample documentation such as lab records and test results, and accurately enter this information in DES databases while retaining hard copies.
- You'll provide routine administrative support for DES including answering calls to the main line, greeting visitors, screening incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining office inventory, and handling equipment purchases and payments.
