About the Role:We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team at Arbor. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for our young students. You will assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Additionally, you will communicate regularly with parents and maintain a clean and organized classroom.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable settingAbility to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background CheckPreferred Qualifications:1+ year experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable settingSome completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related fieldCPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)Responsibilities:Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for young childrenProvide a safe and nurturing learning environment for childrenCommunicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progressMaintain a clean and organized classroomAssist with the supervision of children during outdoor play and field tripsSkills:As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you will utilize your strong communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate with parents and maintain a clean and organized classroom.
