Join us as our next Controls and Automation Technician at our Carthage manufacturing facility, reporting to our Site Controls Project Engineer, you will support the daily operations of the plant through daily troubleshooting, controls automation, reliability and improvement. You will support site process improvement programs and you will oversee the responsibility of production at our extraction site while strictly following and enforcing our safety policies and regulations relating specifically to product security, workers hygiene and safety, and waste. Location: Cincinnati, OH You will: - Optimize, Maintain and Repair: You will implement reliable control-based automation systems to support operations and engineering with process improvement programs. You will improve all existing automation systems through reliability programs and ensure systems are up-to-date. Support the operation and repair of virtual control network servers for the site.
- Instruct and Teach: You will train and instruct Maintenance technicians/mechanics in the troubleshooting and programming of automation systems. You will instruct production personnel in the operation and interfaces of automation systems.
- Repair Controls:You will assist the maintenance team in the troubleshooting and repair of controls and automation systems.
- Troubleshoot and Document:You will complete, diagnose and troubleshoot all assigned work orders and provide solutions where necessary. As well, you will ensure proper documentation is maintained on all plant controls and automation systems.
- Instrumentation:you will set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot various flow, temperature, and pressure sensors Required Qualifications:
- A 2-year technical degree in electrical/mechanical/programming engineering or equivalent experience and education is required.
- 3+ years of experience in process controls and PLC programming.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance Knowledge of Allen Bradley Programming for PLCs and HMIs
- Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of a control system.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs is required.
- Willing to provide paid remote support after hours. Additional Experience
- An Associate's degree
- Work experience in Food and/or Chemical industry
- Basic panel building knowledge is desired but not required.
