Branch Managers must recognize and anticipate the needs of the branch to meet goals and comply with all banking laws and regulations. Managers actively coach, lead, and motivate employees, directing them to effectively identify and provide solutions for the financial needs of our members. Branch Managers actively support all services available at their location and work to develop and grow business relationships within their community. - Ensures that a quality member experience is created at all levels within the branch.
- Oversees all sales activities within the office and is responsible for the financial results and conditions of the branch.
- Cultivates relationships with members and business partners in the community to drive additional sales.
- Acts as the point person for all business accounts.
- Utilizes strong analytical skills to evaluate credit requests and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding and knowledge of GECU products, services, and systems.
- Demonstrates the ability to work within and develop a team environment.
- Evaluates all direct reports and provides regular sales and performance coaching.
- Assumes responsibility for all areas of the branch: sales, service, and operations.
- Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree in Business or Finance preferred
- Minimum two years experience managing or supervising a team
- Minimum two years of working experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Experience working at a financial institution or credit union preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be a highly effective communicator, coach, and multi-tasker with strong time-management and organizational skills.
