Key Responsibilities

Facilitates accurate documentation in medical records for patient care and reimbursement
Performs extensive record reviews and interacts with healthcare professionals

Required Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management
Five years of recent adult acute care experience or hospital inpatient coding
Current state Registered Nurse license or active AHIMA credentials (RHIA)
Preferred certifications include ACDIS (CCDS) or AHIMA (CCS)
