This position reports to the Director, Operations with responsibilities to support new product development, to estimate and update manufacturing cost data, to design new manufacturing fixtures and tooling, and to make improvements to manufacturing processes to ensure quality products and efficient production. Essential Responsibilities: - Provides Manufacturing Engineering support to assigned areas, including day to day problem solving and maintenance of process documentation.
- Creates and maintains method of manufacture documents.
- Modifies process as necessary to improve safety, correct deficiencies and reduce production problems.
- Reviews engineering drawings, makes feasibility assessments and provides estimated manufacturing costs.
- Works with design engineering personnel and manufacturing resources to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
- Represents manufacturing interests and develops manufacturing plans in New Product Development Core Team meetings.
- Writes proposals for capital projects necessary to upgrade manufacturing efficiency and capabilities.
- Manages execution of site improvement plans aligned with Dover's Operational Model (aka, 0DOVER).
- Reviews plant automated OEE system data and creates action plans to improve performance.
