Resource Pool co-workers are highly skilled nurses capable of functioning at an optimal competency level on each of their trained units. The Resource Pool co-workers will not have a regularly assigned unit but will float among their trained units, as needed. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year nursing experience in acute care. Six months of this experience should be within the last year. Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other Skills--Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty. Meet unit specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 40 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
