<span><B>Modis Engineering </B>is searching for a talented and leadership focused Drafting Manager to join our client&rsquo;s team. Our client is a leading global provider of specialized products and engineering solutions. This individual will lead a team to develop product sketches, drafts and designs to meet client specific job specifications.<br>&nbsp;<br><B>As the Drafting Manager your responsibilities will include:</B><br>-Reviewing ASME Section VIII, Div1 and advises necessary changes and updates, creates and maintains all applicable pressure vessel calculations and programs.<br>-Developing detailed design drawings and specifications using company provided computer software.<br>-Overseeing design projects and communicating with customers and management for final designs.<br>-Reviewing and analyzing specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to access factors affecting component designs including the procedures and instructions to be followed.<br>-Participation in the development of Engineering-related software.<br>-Reviews lay out, schematic or angle views to verify they depict the functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems and machines.<br>-Work with shop personnel to answer questions pertaining to assembly procedures and instructions.<br>-Keeping management team aware of significant issues or developments pertaining to design or modification of design.<br>-Assisting Sales and Engineering manager with other tasks as needed.<br>&nbsp;<br><B>Requirements:</B><br>-Bachelor degree required; preferred focus in an engineering science.<br>-2 years&rsquo; experience in a manufacturing environment required, air-cooled heat exchanger environment preferred.<br>-Experience with 3-D modeling software required, Autodesk Inventor preferred.<br>-ASME code knowledge required, PED and API 661/ISO 13706 preferred, other international codes and standards a plus<br>-1 year experience in a supervisory role preferred.<br>&nbsp;<br></span> More...
