Our agency oversees K-12 public education in Oklahoma, committed to making a meaningful impact on the districts and students we serve.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Oklahoma State Department of Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director to oversee the School & District Supports Division. This key leadership position will manage and coordinate essential functions, including the Offices of Student Development, School Support and Improvement, and 21st Century Family and Community Engagement. You will report directly to the Chief Academic Officer and drive the success of educational programs that positively impact students, families, and schools across the state.Please note: This role requires a consistent, in-person presence at the designated workplace in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with no remote, telecommuting, or hybrid options.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Master's Degree in Educational, Counseling, or related field;
- Seven (7) years of experience in educational leadership, program management, or related role.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Knowledge & Expertise: In-depth knowledge of educational policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to support the overall vision and goals of the Division.
- Division Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the School & District Supports Division.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- Budget Management: Oversee the budgeting process for the division.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of division programs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to assess program effectiveness.
