Job Title: - Aircraft Maintenance D (Aircraft Mechanic) Job Code: - AFSDJob Location: - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - -Summary:Duties include but are not limited to: scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; turbine engine, propeller, airframe, flight control/landing gear/engine rigging, troubleshooting systems, daily/turnaround inspections, perform corrosion inspections and related treatment, washing/cleaning, servicing aircraft fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen systems, Structural repairs and component in-house repair/back shop programs. - The aircraft mechanic reports to the Shift Lead Aircraft Mechanic. -Additional Duties:--- Maintains Beech King Air 350 aircraft in support of aircrew missions.--- Launches and recovers aircraft, to include tie-down, cover, and plug removal/installation, and perform required inspections to ensure airframe structure and power plant serviceability.--- Adjusts, aligns, and calibrates aircraft components. Performs functional checks of fuel, hydraulic, engines, avionics, and electro-environmental systems.--- Advises supervision of deficiencies affecting aircraft airworthiness.--- Performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) established procedures/specifications.--- Prepares and maintains aircraft maintenance records and historical documents. ---- Monitors/reviews deficiency reports for adverse trends.--- Uses applicable technical data/manuals when performing aircraft maintenance, and to troubleshoot aircraft/system discrepancies.--- Performs in-progress and follow-up inspections during and upon completion of maintenance actions. Researches, orders and receives aircraft parts. ---- Prepares parts for turn-in back into the supply system. - Initiates material deficiency reports as required. ---- Inventories aircraft support equipment.--- Maintains hand and special tools in a safe and serviceable condition.--- Responsible for site, customer and company tool accountability procedures to include reporting unserviceable tools and equipment to appropriate responsible party.--- Annotates equipment/tools inspection and condition documents. ---- Performs serviceability checks prior to operating powered and non-powered support equipment.--- Complies with established policies, procedures and standards.--- Assists other mechanics/specialists as required. ---- Complies with all safety, environmental, security and housekeeping standards. ---- Complies with training requirements. ---- Assists in training newly assigned personnel as required. ---- Operates vehicles, both special purpose and regular as authorized.--- Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention and safety at all times. ---- Assists assigned personnel in researching and requisitioning aircraft parts and components and in determining the reparability and serviceability of these assets.--- Monitors bench stock items and tool inventory inspections. ---- Actively participates in the Safety Program. ---- Refers to hazardous material training and ensure HAZMAT processes are followed.--- Assists in aircraft movement flight line FOD prevention walks as required.--- Completes maintenance documentation using required forms.--- Services aircraft with fuel, oil, grease, hydraulic fluid, air, oxygen and nitrogen. ---- Performs aircraft corrosion control procedures to include wash, wipe down, polish and vacuum. ---- Discusses discrepancies with aircrews to secure adequate troubleshooting information and flight data.--- Other related duties as required to support contract and mission requirements--- Maintain strict compliance with all required Communications Security (COMSEC) policies and procedures.Required Education and Experience: - Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. -
- Two (2) to eight (8) years aircraft mechanic level experience to be considered.
- Current FAA A&P certificate required
- Must be able to work shifts as assigned and travel as part of a maintenance recovery team if required. -
- CONUS and OCONUS deployment is required.
- Must be in good physical condition, and capable of completing/passing a required physical exam and CRC course prior to OCONUS deployment, -which includes COIVD-19 vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in the established work/living environment, work shift schedules as assigned 7 days a week, 12 hours a day to support mission requirements when deployed.
- Experience in the use of common hand and special tools/testers as required for aircraft maintenance. -
- Must have in-depth working knowledge of aircraft safety directives. -
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. -
- Must have an in-depth knowledge (aircraft/vehicle movement and safety/hazards) of flight line operations.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of using aircraft technical publications-read, interpret, follow and basic comprehension of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts.
- Must have a working knowledge (input and extract data) of maintenance database technology.Additional Qualifications:
