FlightSafety operates the world's largest fleet of advanced full-flight simulators and award-winning maintenance training at Learning Centers and training locations in the United States, Canada, France and the United Kingdom.PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Vice President of Systems Engineering & Product Assurance is responsible for leading and managing the following teams, providing direction and cross-functional leadership within and across FlightSafety International Defense (FSI-D). The Vice President will develop partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to drive improvements and ensure successful execution of System Engineering & Product Assurance initiatives.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads & Manages the following teams: Systems Engineers responsible for the developing and approving Systems and Training requirements during the RFP/Proposal Process to include: - Statements of Work (SOWs) and Performance Specifications (SPECs), including subcontractor (SSOWs) and (SPECs)
- Develop Requirements Verification & Test Matrix (RVTMs)
- Identify Compliant/Non-Compliant requirements.
- Negotiate with Prime Contractors, OEMs or the US Government
- Evaluate submitted Basis of Estimate (BOEs) against the RVTM
- Collaborate and effectively communicate across all functions of the internal and external proposal teams
- Confirm & approve that all requirements are understood, bound, estimated and costed prior to seeking approval to submit a proposal.
- Systems Engineers responsible for the oversight of requirements compliance during the design, development, and execution phase of a contract/program, to include:
- Ownership and oversight of the Design Review Process, to include:
