TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 Pay Information $2,614 per week About The Position Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of experience License: Current RN License Certifications: ACLS, Basic Life Support Must-Have: Ability to float between all ICU/SD areas Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patient by sharing the care plan while in the hospital and upon discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be flexible and able to float between all ICU/SD areas. Possesses knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Maintains good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Basic computer skills required. Required education includes an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
