  • PCU position at Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center
  • 20 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
  • Common diagnoses include Cardiac, Respiratory, ETOH withdrawal, and Renal failure
  • Experience required in acute care, cardiac, and respiratory
  • Nurses are required to titrate drips, including Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone
  • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor available
  • Monitor techs and RNs read strips on the unit
  • Shifts are 12 hours from 1845 to 0715
  • Weekend requirement is every other week
  • Holiday requirement includes 1 major and 1 minor holiday
  • Floating to ICU or Med/Surg as needed
  • Dress code: Scrub Top any color/design; Pants: Black, Navy Blue, Cocoa Brown, Khaki, Charcoal Gray
  • Unit/Department specific orientation for 2 shifts
    Job Requirements
    • ACLS and BLS required
    • Facility can request a 90 Day Emergency License
    • Must have skills in acute care, cardiac, and respiratory
      Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts from 1845 to 0715
      • Every other weekend requirement
      • 1 major and 1 minor holiday requirement
      • Placed on call for low census only
