Position: Semi-Trailer Repair Technician

About Us:
We are a full-service semi-trailer dealership offering sales of new and used trailers, a comprehensive aftermarket parts department, and an 8-bay service facility. We are seeking an experienced, journeyman-level Semi-Trailer Repair Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment and consult with Service Writer to diagnose damage or malfunctions.
• Repair and maintain air, electrical, braking (ABS), and suspension systems on semi-trailers, including both air disc and drum brakes.
• Demonstrate proficiency in:
  • Replacing brake shoes, drums, shocks, air bags, and suspension bushings.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing air and spring suspension systems.
  • Using Lite-Check and/or ACOM ABS diagnostic equipment.
  • Performing repairs on rear doors (swing and roll-up), reefer units, and dry freight trailers.
  • Conducting trailer bodywork, including sheet/post repairs, floor, and roof work.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing auto-tarp and manual tarping systems.
  • Repairing live/walking floor systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing trailer lighting systems and electrical issues.
  • Experience with lift gates and/or reefer units is a plus.
  • Design and fabricate solutions for structural repairs and modifications.
  • Understand and document allowable repair times and processes to meet company standards and Federal DOT regulations.
    Experience & Requirements:
    
    
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in semi-trailer repair or equivalent education and experience.
    • Welding experience required.
    • Must have own hand tools; trailer-related certifications are a plus.
    • Strong organizational, teamwork, and customer service skills.
    • Must pass pre-employment/random drug screening and a pre-employment physical.
    • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly.
    • Comfortable working around moving mechanical parts, at heights, and in outdoor weather conditions.
      Additional Information:
      
      
      • Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
      • Reports to: Service Manager.
      • Pay: $29-$35 per hour, based on verifiable skills and experience.
      • Candidates will undergo assessments with third-party consultants to ensure compatibility with the company's culture and work ethic.
