Ability to make responsible decisions within the scope of practice as a dependent medical practitioner.--Responsibilities and Qualifications:--Qualifications:Requires Bachelor's degree and successful completion of a physician assistant program accredited by any of the following accrediting bodies:Committee on Allied Health, Education Accreditation of the American Medical---- Association (CAHEA);Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP);Accreditation Review Commission on the Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).Current applicable state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or ability to obtain licensure upon date of hire.Orthopedic Residency or experience required.Current BCLS, PALS certifications. Must submit information necessary to complete a National Practitioner Data Base search and meet Legacy's standards for results.Experience: Requires experience in direct patient management in the surgical subspecialty of vascular, neurosurgery or orthopedic surgery (depending on assignment).Surgical assisting experience required.
