This is a great opportunity to be part of the team that welcomes the community's first residents. As Nurse Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of the residents within the community. General day to day responsibilities will include--- - Maintaining communications with Healthcare Providers of recent changes or requests for orders.
- Ensuring that community follows all federal, state, local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
- Collecting, and reporting occurrences, and if necessary, assisting in developing/implementing improvement plans.
- Partnering with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Partnering with pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Overseeing infection control practices in the community.
- Overseeing the safe and efficient distribution/administration of medications, injections, nebulizers, and moderate wound care per state regulations.
- Identifying ongoing needs and services of residents through the evaluation/ Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
- Managing the completion of any assigned evaluations.
- Partnering with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels and updates the resident's service plan as indicated by state regulations.
- Maintaining communications with resident's family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by management.The right candidate should be a professional who enjoys leading their team while providing excellent customer service to residents, their families, and guests. This position requires a willingness to make decisions while exhibiting sound judgement.
While we support continued learning and enrichment, and celebrate a culture that encourages learning new skills, there are base level requirements for this position that include but are not limited to: - Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maintains current state license as a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) or a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations.
- CPR and First Aide Certified
- Experience in assisted living, home health or long-term care industries preferred.
- Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage.The Perks of Working with Us
