Job Title: Echocardiography Technician I Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Job Category: Diagnostic Services Schedule: Days Work Type: Full time Department: GWV Echocardiography Laboratory Team Date Posted: 05/28/2024 Job ID: R-62419 Job SummaryResponsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory. Job Duties - Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
- Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
- Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
- Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
- Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
- Assists in approved research activities.
- Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
- Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
