Job duties as a Computer Systems Architect:Engaging in requirements gathering and technical discussions (15%) - Analyzing the requirements and conducting a detailed feasibility study of the same (3%)
- Understanding the different premium apps that need to be integrated on the platform and understanding their dependencies in detail (7%)
- Preparing the detailed integration plan for the different premium applications and identifying the different integration points. (5%)Designing and Developing (35%):
- Documenting design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information (5%)
- Implementing the necessary software changes to the RDK V technical stack for the dependencies that are identified for the premium application integration (5%)
- Building the modified RDK-V stack for the working platform with the identified changes for integration of the premium applications (5%)
- Directing the analysis, development, and operation of complete computer systems (5%)
- Providing technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems (5%)
- Identify a test plan for validating the integrated premium applications (2%)
- Working on the defects reported and performing a detailed root cause analysis on them to drive them to closure (3%)
- Integrating the defect fixes and creating engineering builds for internal QA validation and certification (3%)
- Merging the defect fixes to the stable branch to create the stable build for the final application certification and delivery to the field (2%)Integrating and Testing (30%):
- Developing system engineering, software engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures. (7%)
- Working on the defects identified during the certification process and performing detailed analysis of the issues to identify the root cause (8%)
- Implementing the code changes required for solving the issues found during the certification process (15%)Performing Documentation (15%):
- Documenting design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information (5%)
- Preparing the detailed documentation to capture the changes done to the RDK V code for integrating the premium application code (2%)
- Documenting the issues identified during the certification process and the detailed root cause analysis for future reference (3%)
