Company :Allegheny Health NetworkJob Description :GENERAL OVERVIEW:Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%)Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%)Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%)Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%)Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:MinimumAssociate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or TPP.Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).BLS upon hire.PreferredRegistered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).1 year experience in a hospital setting.Disclaimer: The job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of work performed by employees within this job title.
