The Observer-Reporter is seeking a MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST The Observer-Reporter, a 15,000-circulation daily and the leading source of information for Washington and Greene counties, is seeking a multimedia journalist to join the staff. Since its founding more than 200 years ago, the Observer-Reporter has been an integral part of the growth of Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our staff not only covers all the important events, but we provide vital information to our readers and residents that truly makes a difference in their lives. The right candidate will help the Observer-Reporter continue to deliver that vitally important news, sports and feature stories and information to our community. This is an exciting time for us -and we need an eager journalist to join our team. As a multimedia journalist for the Observer-Reporter, you will - Learn and employ all techniques for effective digital storytelling.- Maintain clear communication with the editor.- Meet daily deadlines with content for print and digital audiences.- Contribute to a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration.We are looking for a multimedia journalist who can deliver stories quickly and accurately, who is curious about and interested in Washington and Greene counties and their residents, and who has a proven ability to connect with readers. This journalist is responsible for creating content with our print and digital audiences in mind while also working on special projects for the newspaper. Good audio and visual skills, along with the ability to write clearly and concisely, are a must. What we require:The right candidate will have

• A college degree, but we will consider other experience as well;
• An interest in talking and meeting with people;
• A love of their community, and sharing their perspective with others;
• Strong reporting, writing, organizational and time management skills;
• Experience with newspaper page design;
