Job Description SummaryMain Hospital 5W (MH5W) is a 16-bed acute care unit that specializes in providing care for medical surgical patients, including transplant recipients in pre- and post-operative settings, as well as patients with liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, acute kidney injury, and sickle cell disease. Our nurses and patient care technicians collaborate closely with our specialty and medical teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients and their families. Minimum Training and Education: -Completion of a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program; Minimum of six months experience as LPN required. -Licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. A current CPR card is required; either an American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card or an American Red Cross Professional Rescuer card. -Ability to demonstrate commitment to patient centered care philosophy as evidenced by effective communications skills, professional demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills. -Ability and motivation to articulate and support departmental philosophy of excellent guest relations. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand or at a distance.
