Job Description SummaryAdministers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Schedules radiation procedures and delivers prescribed daily dosage of radiation to patients. Assists with dosimetry, as needed.
II. Minimum Qualifications:
A Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy, ARRT registration, SC license and one year of experience in radiation oncology. Prefer experience with patients 18 years of age and older.
III. Work Environment:
Works primarily in an office setting. Subject to equipment with moving mechanical parts. Potential for exposure to infectious disease and radiation.

None.
V. Financial Responsibilities:
None.
VI. Essential Functions:
1. Educates patient on radiation oncology process.
2. Delivers prescribed daily prescription of radiation to patients.
3. Documents treatment details according to policy.
4. Positions immobilization devices as necessary.
5. Assembles portal vision imaging equipment as needed to perform treatment.
6. Monitors dosimetry measurements and calculation for accuracy, as needed.
7.
