Typical Day in the Life A typical day as a Healthcare Reimbursement Associate includes the following: - Work closely with assigned clients in the health care field, including hospitals and nursing homes.
- Prepare Medicare and/or Medicaid cost reports utilizing specialized software to assist clients in obtaining appropriate reimbursement under federal and state regulations by required deadlines.
- Communicate with clients and Medicare and/or Medicaid contractors via telephone and email.
- Review trial balances, financial statements and client information for cost report preparation.
- Prepare reports summarizing clients' cost report results. Who You Are
