Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Performs patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in other nursing units as necessary. - Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice in nursing for Pulmonary and Medical/Surgical care Reports to: Director - GI/GU and Pulmonary Care Units Associate's degree in Nursing or RN Diploma - Required Bachelor's degree in Nursing - Preferred - Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Computer proficiency required. - Minimum Work Experience Must have a minimum of 2 years hospital nursing experience.
