What You'll Do We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, and metropolitan developments. The ideal candidate will not only have a strong background in civil engineering management but also share our mission and core values, integrating them into every aspect of their work. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, encompassing surveying, civil and structural design, inspection, and a salesperson. You will serve as the primary technical advisor, providing expert guidance on all aspects related to your assigned functional areas and ensuring best practices and quality standards are met. Identifies problems and takes corrective action to maintain the approved design schedule. Ensures project databases are constantly updated; project approvals are current and reflect the applicable approval authority, and that all project drawings reflect the proper coordination. Supports and develops project proposals through establishing, delegating, and performing the outlined work plan, assignments, and staffing for each phase of assigned project(s), including, but not limited to durations, hourly rates, budget, and schedule. Prepare project reports and schedules for management and client requests. Review client requested proposals or plans to determine procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources for all phases of each project (estimating, scheduling, design, permitting, construction support and close-out). Facilitate problem-solving and innovation within teams, providing guidance and strategic insights to enhance project outcomes. Collaborate closely with the CFO to manage project invoicing and ensure the project budget is followed. Ensure all engineering practices comply with industry standards and state regulations. Maintain active engagement in professional development of team members and foster a collaborative work environment. Uphold and promote the company's mission and core values within the workplace and in interactions with clients and community partners. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. Valid professional engineering (PE) license. Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, with a strong background in residential and commercial projects preferred. Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee multiple teams. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to align diverse teams and work collaboratively with company executives.
