Job Title: -Scientist, Software EngineerJob Number: 19438Job Location: Nashville, TN; Palm Bay, FLSchedule: 9/80 REG -Job Description: The Scientist Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for the life-cycle support of autonomy products from conceptual development through product phase-out. This includes proposal support, requirements analysis and management, task planning, technical documentation (including generation of Statements of Work and specifications), design oversight participation, design synthesis in a multi-functional engineering environment, build and test support, subcontract control, risk management input, integration and verification test support, system deployment support and in-house technical support during the operational life-cycle of the system.Our Values are an integral part of who we are.     • Provides extensive systems engineering expertise in a broad field of engineering, research, evluation and development for autonomy environment.
    • Performs research and development in assigned engineering discipline.
    • Assists in the planning and conducting of technical projects or portions of projects.
    • Specifies, architects, analyzes, models, establishes flow downs and verifies designs, tests and verifies complex engineering tasks in electrical, mechanical, optical, software, systems, and/or hardware components
    • Assists in the capture and/or management of customer and derived requirements, decomposition and assignment of requirements to appropriate functional areas of responsibility, insuring traceability from a verification test matrix back to original customer and system level derived requirements.
    • Provides support to lead engineers in developing technical specifications, interface control documents, test plans and procedures, configuration analysis and processing solutions, and test conformance to specifications.
    • Ensures technical performance, quality, and adherence to schedule.
    • Follows processes in conformance with established policies and objectives.
    • Coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel.
    • Provide technical consultation to internal organizations and/or customers.
    • Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
    • Participate in design reviews.
    • Travels when required to support customer installation, demonstrations and general field support -Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 12 -years of software experience.
      • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 -years of software experience.
      • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 -years of software experience.
      • Experience with UML/SysML Model-based development
      • Experience with Agile development principles.
      • Experience in Systems & Software Architecture with advanced expertise in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and SysML, Army's GCS Common Infrastructure Architecture (GCIA) Specification including advanced knowledge and the "hands on" use of Data Architecture Modeling Level (DAML) constructs, Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) - and FACE Data Models. -Preferred Additional Skills:
        • Knowledge of military standards and regulations.
        • Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements a plus.
        • Applied working knowledge in the domain of software engineering development, systems engineering, and systems integration with a proven track record of product development throughout the entire product lifecycle.
        • Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Architecture standards/processes.
        • Must be able to communicate in a variety of settings, possess the ability to explain complex concepts to senior leadership.
        • Superior consultation, diplomacy, influencing, and negotiation skills is required.
        • Must promote collaboration and facilitate teamwork across the organization and its external service providers.
        • Must display exceptional listening and analytical skills to understand customer concerns and needs with the ability to respond promptly and effectively.
        • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to work effectively with the L3Harris team, suppliers, customer, and corporate parent staff.
        • High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing analysis with "doing". Must be adaptable and able to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines. - Work on own initiative.
