The Department of Neurology at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso s Foster School of Medicine is seeking a neurologist to join its faculty. Major Functions: Provide inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services, including neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic. --- Offer consultation services in affiliated hospitals. --- Deliver direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals. --- Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, including interpreting diagnostic tests such as EEGs/EMGs and treating various peripheral nerve and muscle disorders. --- Supervise resident clinics and contribute to the overall teaching program for residents and medical students, including presenting lectures. --- Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship --- Serve the academic community through participation in institutional governance --- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service --- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations and adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures --- Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility Minimum Qualifications: --- M.D. or D.O. degree --- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program. --- Texas Medical License, or be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas.
