Vice President of ConstructionJob Description:Position SummaryGuggenheim Retail Real Estate Partners is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Construction to join its team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Development and Construction, the Vice President of Construction will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of site and building construction for multiple retail/commercial projects. In addition to managing individual projects, they will also: direct oversight responsibilities for the Directors of Construction; manage workloads and client assignments for the Directors; as well as provide insight, leadership and establish processes across the department.The Vice President of Construction position is located in Frisco, Texas.Essential Job Functions - Manage construction aspect of all projects to include, but not limited to: project scheduling (from permitting through completion of construction); construction contracts and administration; routine construction meetings on and off site; review monthly pay applications and approvals; all associated project testing; change orders and reviewing of Director's change orders; project invoicing and cost management for their projects and Directors as well; and closeout documentation.
- Create or review preliminary budgets for all projects.
- Create and manage overall schedules for all projects.
- Work closely with the Vice President of Development to ensure that the design for all sites including architectural, civil engineering, landscape design, signage, etc., is per the lease requirements, in addition to ensuring that Development and Construction functions are in alignment to meet the overall needs of the department.
- Approve project bidders as well as review bids and budgets prior to awarding contracts.
- Manage information and reporting aspects of all projects using E-Builder, including documentation control, project milestones, and cost reporting for overall project from permitting through completion of construction.
- Manage outside consultants assigned to specific projects, this includes: Geotech consultant; Environmental engineers; Architects; Civil Engineer; Surveyors; and Sign Vendors.
- Travel may be approximately 50% of working time.Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent track record of on-time, in-budget performance.

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in management of construction for retail/commercial buildings.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project, as well as web-based project management software system similar to E-Builder.
- Ability to travel - approximately 50% of working time.Salary
