If you have over 7 years of Network Engineering experience in a large enterprise environment and management / team lead experience then we would love to hear from you!<br> <br> <br> <br>Summary<br>Provides leadership and direction for network infrastructure services. This position requires skills, motivation and experience to develop a highly functional team to deliver superior, predictable and reliable services in a dynamic IT environment. Leadership capabilities are required to establish the right balance of people, processes and technologies to meet the business objectives and expectations in a Cisco centric environment. Must have proven background with moderate to high complexity systems using a variety of technologies, serving environments and applications across a national WAN and overseas. This leadership role requires experience with decision making, interfacing with key stakeholders, and prioritizing individual and team work efforts.<br> <br> <br> <br>Essential Duties<br> <br> <br> <br>Act as a working manager to ensure network systems are operating sufficiently to deliver quality services. Reviews problem tickets and other reports/tools to identify existing or potential risks to network systems availability; follows and enhances the processes that measure, monitor, and report on the availability and performance of all network systems; participates in project implementations as needed.<br> <br>Manages the staff and activities involved in providing network services by prioritizing workloads as well as providing guidance and direction to subordinates. Assesses the need for staff training and cross-training to ensure successful job performance, recommends specific training objectives, and ensures training has been accomplished.<br> <br>Assists in developing standards and procedures to ensure quality assurance, reviews change control processes and regulatory adherence.<br> <br>Supervises and directs the activities of outsourced network projects. <br> <br>Provides input in the architecture of business-to-business projects involving technology and connectivity between sites, customers, and vendors. <br> <br>Develops documentation of network controls and functionality; assists in development of policies and procedures for best practices, and creating standards; implements documented procedures. <br> <br>Analysis of new technologies, research/recommend new network devices, tools, and technologies as needed for future enhancements. <br> <br>Provides assistance in the best practices creation of policy and procedure as it pertains to network systems. <br> <br>Assists in client and compliance questionnaires. <br> <br>Performs other duties as assigned.<br> <br> <br> <br>Minimum Requirements<br> <br> <br> <br>Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or seven (7) years of network systems experience.<br> <br>Must have at least seven (7) years strong documented networking experience and responsibilities in a Cisco networking environment.<br> <br>Must have an extensive working knowledge of a wide range of networking environments.<br> <br>Must have a working knowledge with the OSI model.<br> <br>Must have an extensive working knowledge of generally accepted network procedures and standards.<br> <br>Must have the ability to relate business requirements and risk to technology implementation for communications related issues.<br> <br>Must have the ability to work with various levels of users to resolve business & systems issues in a timely manner.<br> <br>Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.<br> <br>Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.<br> <br>Must have solid project management skills and team-oriented interpersonal skills.<br> <br>Must have the ability to manage multiple projects<br> <br>Working knowledge of Cisco network technologies is a plus<br> <br>Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. of computer equipment, boxes, or peripherals, as needed.<br> <br>Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and kneel to load tapes and service equipment.<br> <br>Must be able to travel locally or nationally.<br> <br> <br></span> More...
