Job Description Summary: The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of fleet assets. This includes Airgas Nitrogen Services (ANS) pumpers, trailers, Intermodal Container (IMO), skids, Trailer Mounted Vaporizer Unit (TMVU), power units, and other specialized equipment found in a nitrogen services fleet servicing petrochemical and Oil & gas industries. They assist in developing and maintaining Best Practices" in local shops, internal and external, on-board and train new hires, and manage mechanics' continuous training. - Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-year plan for the maintenance strategy of operational assets.
- Determine equipment retirement schedules and re-allocation strategies for equipment.
- Lead the Fleet and Equipment Reliability Program, focusing on:
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability tracking.
- Record and track equipment mileage and operational hours, using information supplied by district managers for accurate reporting.
- Maintain detailed records of all equipment repairs, documenting issues and resolutions to ensure traceability.
- Record and track equipment certifications to ensure that all machinery meets necessary standards and regulations.
- Record, track, and maintain Lytx, Omnitracs, and other electronic monitoring and/or equipment.
- Communicate with district managers and mechanics regarding when equipment service is due, facilitating timely maintenance.
- Maintain an open line of communication with managers and mechanics to ensure transparency and collaboration.
- Perform and document spot inspections on equipment to assess condition and identify any issues proactively.
- Ensure that STEM reports are being properly completed and submitted, facilitating compliance and operational efficiency.
