Description: Press Brake Operator Press Brake Operator Job Purpose: A position responsible for operating press break machines to shape various types of metal, make punches, bends and cuts into sheet metal or metal plates to our customers specifications. This position has multiple objectives such as to assure that the project (s) adherence to safety, quality, project scope, project schedule, project cost, and client satisfaction. Press Brake Operator Job Duties: Read blueprints and part drawings. Set up and operate the machine. Ability to read, interpret and follow product specifications. Inspect the metal while shaping it and make adjustments. Inspect the machinery and product for quality assurance. Perform regular maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues. Handle materials appropriately and safely. Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications. Skills/Qualifications: Experience with Cincinnati Press Brakes preferred. Spanish speaking bi-lingual skills are preferred. Precise and clear in communication. Must be able to work independently. Must be detail oriented and keep project materials organized. Metal Fabrication Training Course Minimum 5 years prior Press Brake Operator experience. General knowledge and understanding of the Marine Shipping industry preferred. Excellent organization, time management and strategic thinking skills. Knowledge of mathematics and unit conversions (Metric to English). Knowledge of English language grammar and composition. Must have hands-on working knowledge of various shop tools and related materials. The ability to function well within a team environment.
