Position Details: --- Title: Production Supervisor --- Location: Valley, NE (30 miles west of downtown Omaha) --- Schedule: Opportunities exist on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts (Mon - Fri) --- Compensation: Target base salary -$85K - $100K + annual performance bonus (5%) o Bonuses/Additional Compensation: Relocation (lump sum) / sign-on bonus is available on a case-by-case basis; you also will participate in the company's Annual Variable Compensation Plan --- Benefits: Company offers an industry-standard, comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical / Dental Insurance; Life / AD&D Insurance; Flexible Spending Accounts; Short- and Long-Term Disability; Vacation/Vacation Purchase; 11 annual holidays; Tuition Assistance; 401K with employer match; etc. Position Description: The Production Supervisor is a first-line Supervisor who serves as a highly driven individual that will be responsible for safety, product quality, exercising cost control, producing parts and assemblies to schedule, motivating shop employees to attain quantity and quality standards and administering company and division policies at their Infrastructure and Irrigation manufacturing facilities in Valley, NE. This position supervises up to 40 hourly production employees (depending on location and assigned shift) and maintains the log of shift operations. Some other essential responsibilities include: --- Monitor employee's performance to ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed and adhered. --- Implement and assign work schedules to maximize the utilization of manpower, machines, and equipment. --- Define expected production standards and monitor performance standards of the assigned personnel. --- Observe personnel to ensure the proper operation of assigned work and equipment. --- Ensure inspection checks and quality assurance occurs to produce high quality products. --- Promote a continuous productivity improvement climate. --- Administer and support company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner. --- Train new employees about divisional and organizational activities and safety policies and procedures. --- Prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports. In order to be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate historical success in supervising and managing large teams in a fast-paced (ideally industrial or production) environment. You should have a keen eye for process improvement and be familiar with LEAN concepts. Familiarity with welding/pipe-bending, CNC operations and fabrication is a huge plus, but not required. More...
