Position: Cook - -Location: -Honolulu, HI -Pay: -$22/hour -+ Uncapped Referral Bonuses available after 6 shifts completed or 30 days on assignment - -Experience: -Recent professional cooking experience -Type: Full-time; Contract -Schedule:

• Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 230 p.m.
• Monday - Wednesday, 6 a.m.to 6:30 p.m.
• Thursday or Friday, 230 p.m. to 630 p.m.
  Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Cook to join a growing and dynamic team! - -
  Job Description: -
  • Plans meals by analyzing recipes; assists in retrieving and ordering ingredients
  • Prepares food ingredients by cutting, slicing, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping and mixing ingredients
  • Complete meal preparation by grilling, roasting, saut--ing, frying and broiling ingredients
  • Present meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using bowls, plates, dishes, etc.
  • Control food costs by adhering to recipes, following preparation standards
  • Maintain sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes
  • Maintain food supply inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipts
  • Keep food preparation equipment operating by following operating instructions; perform preventative and cleaning maintenance
  • Update food preparation job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Ensures all meal card restrictions and allergies are followed according to the doctor's diet order for each resident
