Overview Electrical Technicians in Technical Services are responsible for the evaluation, testing, repairs, and calibrations of various electrical and electronic measuring instruments, as well as troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair analog and digital control systems, circuitry, and devices. Additionally, they build, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair automation systems, remote monitoring systems and SCADA equipment. Lastly, they perform field diagnostic tests and technical studies for various Company facilities amongst other functions provided in the core responsibilities. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities - Evaluation, testing, repairs, and calibrations on various electrical and electronic measuring instruments, as well as troubleshoot, diagnose and repair analog and digital control systems, circuitry, and devices.
- Safely use various electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment and tools to perform assigned tasks.
- Follow and ensure compliance with all applicable Company policies and procedures.
- Perform high voltage testing on dielectric materials and equipment.
- Perform field diagnostics tests and technical studies for various Company facilities (i.e., sound level surveys, ground grid testing, and cad-weld testing, etc.).
- Build, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair automation systems, remote monitoring systems and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) equipment.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and experience with computer systems and competency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat).
- Use of various computer applications to prepare and compile necessary technical reports and documentation of observations and test findings in corresponding reports and computer systems.
- Maintains records and logs of preventive calibration/maintenance activities.
- Ability to promote a strong safety culture and procedural adherence.

- Follows oral or written instructions and work assignments. Qualifications Required Education/Experience
- Associate's Degree AAS in Electrical Technology or related degree or or
- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years Relevant Electrical Work Experience Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering Licenses And Certfications
- Driver's License Required Physical Demands
- Ability to respond to system emergencies
- Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
- Perform heavy manual labor, i.e. push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
- Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
- Ability to climb in and out of manholes and excavations
- Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
- Ability to use hand tools and operate heavy machinery, i.e. jackhammers
- Use hand-eye coordination to adjust controls on equipment
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
- Work with equipment with a manufacturer weight rating of 350lbs
- Use equipment with a maximum weight rating of 375lbs when wearing and/or carrying 25lbs of clothing and equipment Additional Physical Demands
