Duties * Oversees the simulation support, logistical support, and information management functions of the Operations Group (OPSGRP) and activities requiring concurrence/approval and involvement of the Chief EXCON, Operations Group. * Assists in the operation of OPSGRP Archive System, website, and development/publication/distribution of Products and Services Directory. * Incumbent plays a significant role in assisting operational-level headquarters in training design at exercise Concept Development Conferences and other Joint Exercise Life Cycle meetings. * Reviews directive material prepared by various agencies that affect organizational matters and conformance with overall policies. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * SECRET CLEARANCE: Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. * This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport. * May be required to work overtime on an emergency basis. * This position has a TDY requirement of 50% of extensive travel worldwide in support of OPSGRP programs and exercises. * Must meet and sustain requirements to deploy worldwide to hazardous duty areas. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
