- Conduct treatment interventions and activities including assisting clients with daily living tasks and social skills, carry out or assist with recreational activities, observe and reinforce behaviors as prescribed by the treatment plan and intervene to resolve conflicts as they arise.
- Provide personal care assistance to residents in the areas of personal grooming, bathing, dressing and undressing, oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, nail care, nutrition and hydration, toileting, housekeeping and self-administration of medication.
- Ensure the health, safety and well-being is maintained by adhering to internal health and safety policies and PM 46 regulations. Monitor the well-being and location of clients, completing documentation in the shift log. Make notes to the clinical record as assigned.
- Attend and participate in daily shift reports, staff meetings and training sessions as required by policy and/or as assigned.
- Document and report changes in building conditions /client's mental physical health to the Team Leader and the Core Team.
- Assist others in emergency situations, ensuring that the Team Leader is alerted to the problem and is involved in the decision making process in any unusual event.
- Know / carry out emergency procedures including fire safety procedures and first aid. Qualifications:
