Responsibilities Performs the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech, language and cognitive disordersReviews patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions & contraindicationsEstablishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of speech, language and cognitive abilities with a focus on selecting goals that compliment/supplement the goals written by the BCBA. Manage goals and data tracking in Catalyst applicationTrains ABA staff on how to accurately and effectively support patient specific SLP goalsRegularly re-assesses effectiveness of treatment plan, progress of patient toward goals and the need for modifying goals or treatmentCommunicates patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, school, outside service provider, person receiving services, family members, as applicableMaintains and submits evaluation, treatment, discharge and billing documentation in the format and time-lines required by the Company, facility, funding source, local, state and federal regulationsAdheres to standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, Corporate Compliance programs, appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal lawsAttends, participates in and/or conducts internal staff development programs and meetings; obtains continuing education as required by company policy and regulations; maintains and enhances clinical practice skillsCommunicates weekly updates to the BCBA regarding student's SLP goals, progress, barriers, etcManages scheduling for all SLP therapy sessions and communicates these times to the clinic staff Qualifications |
