Pay Rate: $32.00 - $37.00/hour (Line Boring experience up to $39.00/hour) based on location, education and experience. Responsibilities - Perform all welding processes to fabricate and repair equipment / attachments, including but not limited to MiG, Tig, Stick, and Carbon Arc Gouging. The majority of welding is Dual Shield Mig welding.
- Line bore various components with remote and stationary equipment.
- Perform major repairs on sticks and booms including removal and installation.
- Set up equipment properly according to the function and application.
- Understand properties of various types of steel and other welding metals (including but not limited to hardness; brittleness; elongation; tensile, etc.) and can determine the best type for the repair.
- Complete layout from prints and drawings. In absence of prints or patterns the candidate must have the ability to create prints or patterns.
- Assists with general equipment repairs and component or attachment installation, as needed, including disassembling, assembling, removing and installing machine components.
- Actively cares and advocates safety at Milton CAT, adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
