Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work independently to develop the HVAC/Electrical/plumbing design from conceptual design through construction documentation phase based on project scope Perform field surveys to develop scope and assess existing conditions Perform engineering calculations Analyze and apply applicable construction codes Coordinate design with other trades (Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection) Provide construction observation services Prepare HVAC project specifications independently and develop a company master specification Participate and collaborate in project team setting and engage in creative and critical thought Other responsibilities as designated by management Requirements: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution 5 years of job-related experience Professional Engineering License is required LEED accreditation is not a requirement Preferred: Hands-on experience with engineering, design, building, and mechanical code requirements, with emphasis on multifamily facilities including market-rate housing.
