BAE Systems is looking for Systems Engineering to work as part of a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team to design, integrate, debug, and test a novel Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV). Focused on delivering innovative solutions. As a member of this team you will: - Lead a team through the systems design process including conceptual development, physical design, support to procurement, assembly, engineering test, debug, integration, and support of product qualification.
- Lead systems requirements management from CONOPS through production selloff
- Have a deep understanding of principles and concepts that spread across all disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software) and the ability to apply those principles to unique systems for the underwater domain (UUVs, power systems, navigation systems, hull structures)Develop test and verification strategies that help minimize program cost and technical riskDesign test and validation approaches to ensure the system fulfills its operational objectives and stake-holder requirements in its intended operational setting.Work with customer and program leadership to coordinate, schedule, and ensure readiness to perform test eventsLead by example and be willing to mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and advise teammatesRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
