Reef Private Equity is currently developing several world-class projects, including: Black Desert Resort - A $2 billion+ resort in Ivins, Utah consisting of a 148 key hotel, over 1,000 condos, a championship-level golf course that will host a PGA tour event in October 2024, a water park, neary 100 estate lots, etc. Deer Valley East Village - 150 estate lots and 300+ townhomes at Deer Valley Ski Resort near Park City Utah Marcella Club - A private club including a Tiger Woods designed golf course outside Park City, Utah Coco Palms - Restoring the historic Coco Palms hotel on Kauai including 350 guest rooms, 4 restaurants, a spa, meeting space and a wedding chapel Tributer Bay - A a 900 lot lake and golf community adjacent to Lake Anna in Virginia Job Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to join our firm as Vice President of Capital Markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully raising substantial amounts of commercial real estate construction debt and debt for stabilized commercial real estate assets, with experience building relationships with lenders and investors, structuring complex financing solutions, and navigating intricacies of real estate finance. Strong preference will be given to candidates with significant experience in raising capital for commercial hospitality development and construction. General Responsibilities Include: - Lead the company's project-level financing financing efforts, including being responsible for all aspects of raising the project-level debt needed for the construction or acquisition of our real estate assets as well as permanent debt upon stabilization
- Lead Reef's efforts to continue to grow and deepen our relationships with lenders
- With the CFO and members of the executive team, lead the company's efforts to raise appropriate debt and equity for Reef itself (not specific to a project)
- Manage the lender due diligence process for debt financing, including providing models, slide decks, appraisals, and working with the team to provide fully populated data rooms (proof of equity invested, enviro, GMPs, development rights, etc.), loan documents, etc.
- Monitor market trends and assess potential impacts on capital availability and interest rates to provide strategic recommendations to senior management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investment banks, and other capital providers to facilitate ongoing financing opportunities
- Collaborate with the investor relations team to communicate capital market strategies and performance to stakeholders, ensure transparency and confidence in our approach
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in capital markets. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the real estate development or hospitality industries
- Proven track record of raising significant debt or other types of financing (EB5, 1031, equity etc.), including doing multiple nine-figure financing raises simultaneously. Successful candidate will likely have raised at least $1+ billion in debt and equity financing for acquisitions or construction projects during their career
- Strong understanding of financial principles, tax rules and laws, accounting standards, and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and work collaboratively across functions
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams to achieve results
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines
