Your expertise will influence selecting, operating and administering systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.About the team:FIS-- Compliance Suite (formerly Protegent) is a scalable platform that solves multiple regulatory challenges, including anti-money laundering and communications surveillance.What you will be doing:--- Defining and maintaining a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.--- Documenting functional product solutions as well as key FIS financial services opportunities.--- Maintaining a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.What you will need:--- Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.--- Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.--- Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.--- Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.--- A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience - post-graduate education desired.Requirements - Software Architect Expertise: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in software architecture at an expert level.
- AWS Expertise: Expert level in AWS services including EKS, EC2, and S3.
- Snowflake Expertise: Extensive experience and deep understanding of Snowflake public cloud.
- Apache Spark Expertise: Advanced knowledge and practical expertise in using Apache Spark.
- SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL for database management and operations.
- Scripting Expertise: Expert-level skills in scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
- Airflow Experience: Proven working experience with Apache Airflow and Astro.
- Programming Languages: Competence in Java, Scala, and Python with significant working experience.
- .NET Experience: Practical experience with the .NET framework.---Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software development and architecture.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in AWS, Snowflake, and data engineering technologies are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture and services, particularly AWS.
- Advanced knowledge of data warehousing solutions, specifically Snowflake.
- Proficient in big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
- Strong SQL skills and experience in database design and management.
- Expertise in scripting languages for automation tasks.
- Practical experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and Astro.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Java, Scala, and Python.
